Compare the Strawberry and Orion Baby Sleep Sets by fabric, price, and print, then use clear decision rules to pick the right newborn sleep set for your baby.
Quick answer
Choose the Strawberry Baby Sleep Set if you want a playful fruit print and a lower catalog price; choose the Orion Baby Sleep Set if you prefer a subtler style and the same buttery-soft Solly Signature fabric feel. Both are lightweight, breathable TENCEL™ Modal sleep sets available in sizes, so your decision comes down to print preference, fabric family, and budget.
Fabric feel: Solly Luxe vs Solly Signature
The Strawberry set uses Solly Luxe™ fabric with a hint of spandex for stretch, while the Orion set uses Solly Signature™ fabric. Both are made with certified TENCEL™ Modal and are described as naturally lightweight and breathable—not too stuffy for summer, not too light for winter. If you prioritize a bit of give for dressing, Strawberry’s spandex blend may feel more flexible; if you want the fabric most closely associated with the Solly Baby Wrap’s buttery-soft reputation, Orion’s Signature fabric is the closer match.
Price and value at a glance
At catalog prices, the Strawberry set is USD 24.80 (compared with USD 40.00), and the Orion set is USD 26.60 (compared with USD 38.00). The Strawberry set has a lower current price, while the Orion set carries a smaller discount off its comparison price. Neither price difference is large, so treat price as a tiebreaker after you decide on print and fabric preference.
Print and wardrobe fit
The Strawberry print is a distinct fruit motif that reads playful and seasonal; the Orion name suggests a subtler, more neutral style that may layer easily under sleep sacks or mix with other prints. If you already own patterned sleepwear, Orion may be the more versatile addition. If you want a cheerful, giftable set, Strawberry stands out. Both sets are available by size, so check the size chart before ordering rather than assuming a newborn fit.
When neither set is the right call
If you need a specific safety certification or a particular closure style, the catalog facts here do not list those details—check the product page or contact the store before buying. If you are shopping for a toddler rather than a newborn, size availability may be limited; confirm the size range first. And if you want a print that matches an existing nursery theme exactly, neither set may be the perfect match.
Decision rules for choosing between Strawberry and Orion
- If print personality leads your choice: Pick Strawberry for a playful fruit print; pick Orion for a subtler, more neutral look.
- If fabric feel is your priority: Choose Orion if you want the Solly Signature™ fabric associated with the Solly Baby Wrap; choose Strawberry if you prefer a hint of spandex stretch.
- If you are shopping on price: Strawberry is the lower-priced option at catalog price, but the difference is small—do not let it override fit or print preference. Confirm current price and size availability before checkout.
- If you are unsure about sizing: Both sets come in sizes; check the size chart for your baby’s weight and length rather than buying a “newborn” size by default.
